An approach for TV network was made by Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law

Aryeh Bourkoff, Chief Executive of LionTree Advisors was informally approached by Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner in the context of setting up a “Trump TV network once the US presidential election gets over. According to a secret source, LionTree Advisors does not want to get involved in it, the reason for which remains unknown.

According to the source, Jared Kushner contacted Bourkoff in the past few months. But, there has been no further conversations between the two.

The Financial times published a report on LionTree Talks on monday, according to which, Donald Trump showed no interest in the media company last month. Also, termed the reports which said, “he was considering setting up a media company.” as a false rumour.

The owner of the weekly New York Observer newspaper is Mr. Jared Kushner who is married to Ivanka, Trump’s daughter.

Setting up a television network would be an arduous task as Mr. Trump would have to negotiate with satellite and cable carriers. Also, it will take years to turn it into a profitable entity.

It would be less expensive and easier for him to set up an online streaming service.
