Troubles and chaos in the ongoing law enrolment does not seem to end with students now grappling to find ways to get their nationality certificates made in less than 10 days to ensure their provisional admissions are not cancelled.

  • The state’s common entrance test(CET) cell on September 20 issued a notification stated that student who student who have secured provisional admission in colleges by submitting passport ,birth certificate,school-leaving certificate , voter card or domicile certificate will have to furnish a certificate of nationality before the third round of the admissions, which currently schedule begin on sep 30.  Failing to submit the certificate will haqve to furnish a certificate of nationality before the third round of the admissions, circular stated the provisional aadmission is being cancelled automatically, In Maharashtra the age, nationality and domicile is a single certificate issued by collector’s office.
  • The last-minute instructions, students claim, did not leave them enough time to procure the certificate,In reality the application will take three months but online application website state that it will only take 15 months .There is no way to get the documents made in time without goimg via touts who are exorting over Rs.7000 to give the certificates in two days said a representative of forum against corruption and exploitation(FACE), which has from over 50 students which has receive complaints.Students wants that confirmation of their admission should be done on the basis of receipt that shows that they had applied for the certificate.
  • Colleges tyo haave receiving complaints from students “we sent mail on time to students their is enough time for them to arrange the additional documents we will have to wait until the end to see how many students can actually confirm their admission or if the state come to their aid” A college Principal said on condition of anonymity.
  • “Instruction were printed in the official booklet which was printed in the month of april” an official said . All details of documents required have been mentioned in the information booklet which was issued in April, much before the exam. The aspirants should have read it thoroughly and kept the certificates ready for the admission process. Enough Time for student to prepare all this said Chandrashekhar Oak, commissioner of the CET cell.
