The Indian patent office has rejected a plead by a Canadian firm to patent sexual toys. Indian’s Election Commissioner, OP Rawat has said that simultaneous election can only be possible after an amendment in election laws. Rawat made this known in response to the advice by Amit Shah, the president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Shah had wrote a letter to the Law Commission yesterday making a case for simultaneous polls. The Chinese government has appeal to the US government not to misuse the security concerns recently signed by President Donald Trump to expand the jurisdiction of an investment review panel to hamper business activities. UK: Royal Mail To Pay £50m Fine for violating competition laws

A United Kingdom Logistics giant, Royal Mail has been fined a whopping sum of £50m by Regulators for violating competition codes. The UK communications regulator said the company abused its dominant position by discriminating against its only major competitor for delivering letters, Whistl. Royal Mail will now file an appeal with the Competition Appeal Tribunal within the next two months. No fine is payable until the appeals process is exhausted.
