The CBI had in the mid-June registered a case concerning the alleged occurrence of cheating in the MBBS online entrance exam which was held on May 28th by AIIMS.

The CBI has conducted searches in Bihar and Ghaziabad including the HRIT campus in Morta area of Ghaziabad and has seized digital evidences for the same.

Notice to Centre, CBI and AIIMS:

Dr. Anand Rai, the whistle- blower of the Vyapam scam has filed a writ petition seeking a status report on the AIIMS MBBS paper leak case in the Delhi high court. The case is being represented by Adv. Prashant Bhushan. The court has issued a notice to the Centre, AIIMS and CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) to file the status report on the AIIMS MBBS paper leak case within a week and has scheduled its next hearing on August 16th.

The test was conducted for 107 seats by the AIIMS examination committee, the result of which was announced on June 15th.  The counseling procedure for the same began on July 3rd and academic session is scheduled to start from 1st of August 2017.
