Trump expressed that his victory has been tough and it was a movement and not a campaign that had won him the White House , comprised of “all people of different backgrounds and beliefs”.

Trump in his speech also thanked his entire family and a lot of officials, mentioning them individually and specifically, who had worked with him to make him win the race to the White House.

The Republican ruled the key swing states of Florida, Ohio and North Carolina as he marched towards the victory.

Hilary Clinton initially did not acknowledge the election results but later on called Trump to congratulate on his victory.

Trump in his speech on America’s relationship with other countries mentioned, “We will get along with other nations willing to get along with us. We will deal fairly with everyone. We will seek common ground, partnership not conflict”.

“America will no longer settle for anything less than the best. We must reclaim our destiny,” he said.

Financial markets round the world plunged as voted for Donald Trump stacked up.
